Mrs. Beanbeetle: under the leaves by the tree 8/15/14 Five Stars
I just discovered this little nook last month shortly after I hatched. There’s a fantastic selection of beans: bush beans, pole beans and yummy dried beans. I must have laid a thousand eggs before I died

It’s OK for a “western Mass” garden but I’m from California where we have real gardens, you may not realize it but we have a much longer growing season and grow all sorts of things you can’t grow here. I mean I used to pick the best avocados the ones here just really don’t taste the same at all. It just struck me as kind of inauthentic, like he was trying to pull something over on me. Oh you have a garden, I’m so impressed. New Englanders should stick to stone walls. It’s like people over here pretend there’s not even the rest of the country, they’re just so stuck in their little parochial view of the world.
Elliot: upper bedroom. I’m not sure what day it is. Five Stars
Grow more raspberries. And also blueberries. And also strawberries. Carrots are great, but you grow a lot of things I don’t eat and should stop that. Look! A squirrel.

Yeah, another freaking garden just what this neighborhood needs! You know I grew up here and this lot used to have the nicest lawn. Now lookatit! All sorts of weird plants you never heard of and the lawn looks like a skunk has been digging around looking for grubs. You come by here any time a day and the guy’s likely to be out in his yard grubbing around on his hands and knees. What do you think God invented the roto-tiller for anyway? Sure people used to have gardens around here, but they weren’t all organicy and holier than thou. I have half a mind to spray some sevin dust on that place – it’d do him good.

I peed on it, it’s mine.
Fido Two streets over 9/16/14. Five stars

The Boss: The house 10/15/14. Rating declined.
The garden is lovely, though we could use some more flowers. I promise I’ll weed them this time. I’m also thinking that the vegetable garden is probably big enough. Do you really think you have time for another bed? You know how sometimes you get involved in a project and then feel guilty when you can’t devote as much time to it as you need to? Perhaps now is the time to consider that before you start digging. Well, keep it smallish anyhow.
D. Walker: One street over 9/15/14 Three stars.
The green stuff is nice, but I’m wondering if maybe you could put in a thick hedge so that I wouldn’t have to clean up after Rex.
