“I’ll have the beef tips, medium rare, the house salad with Italian dressing and some Rat Pack-era Martin and Sinatra on the side please.”

Local crooner James “Jimmy Mazz” Mazzaferro intends to serve up made-to-order sounds along with the savories at his “By Request” dinner show at the Wilbraham Country Club (859 Stony Hill Road, Wilbraham) Nov. 7.

In addition to a full buffet, patrons will be asked to select tunes from a musical menu featuring the former Breezin’ frontman’s current catalog of Las Vegas Legends, Swingin’ Thru The Sixties and more.

“Plus I know a ton of classics and am a big, one-hit wonder guy!” Mazzaferro is quick to note.

Tickets for this show are $35 and include a complete dinner, sides, dessert, coffee and tip. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails, followed by the meal at 7 p.m. and the Mazz at 8:15 p.m. To reserve your seat call (413) 374-5890.

Lewis’ expeditions: Not one but two Lewis-related items this installment. The first comes courtesy of the Valley’s own homegrown hero Aaron Lewis. On Sunday, Oct. 26, the rocker-cum “Country Boy” was asked to sing the country’s national anthem before a sold-out crowd at San Francisco’s AT&T Park prior to game five of the World Series.

While Lewis triggered several rounds of applause as he shifted into the upper registers of his powerful baritone, a quick rewind revealed that he accidentally sang “so gallantly streaming” in two consecutive verses.

“All I can say is that I’m sorry and ask for the nation’s forgiveness,” he soon posted afterwards. “My nerves got the best of me, and I am completely torn up about what happened. I hope everyone can understand the intensity of the situation and my true intent of this performance. I hope that the nation, Major League Baseball and the many fans of our national pastime can forgive me.”

Meanwhile, child actress/former Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis travels to Noho’s historic Calvin Theatre this Friday, Nov. 7 in support of her third solo offering, The Voyager.

Recorded in just two weeks and sporting some backing vocals by Beck, The Voyager is being heralded as Lewis’ best studio effort since her 2006 solo debut, Rabbit Fur Coat.

As for her small screen credits, after cutting her TV teeth on a Jell-O commercial in the early ’80s, Lewis has scored supporting roles on everything from My Life With Lucy, Growing Pains, and Golden Girls to Baywatch over the years.

Since kicking off her Voyager tour starting on July 8 of this year, she has already performed her new material at Lollapalooza, the Newport Folk Festival, The Austin City Limits Music Festival and the iTunes Festival in London.

She’ll receive sonic support from the female duo Girlschool at her local performance this weekend. Tix for this 8 p.m. show are $25 and available at iheg.com.

In other news… Brooklyn’s Rubblebucket has similarly emerged from the studio with new tuneage recently. And that’s a situation they are looking to celebrate when they bring their patented amalgam of indie-dance rock to Turners Falls’ Shea Theater this Saturday, Nov. 8. Canadian Independent Album of the Year winners Royal Canoe get the opening nod. Tickets are $20 and available at greenriverfestival.com.•
