Military veterans aren’t always open to sharing their war stories with a public that can’t possibly comprehend what it’s like to be in a foreign land, with a gun, an enemy, and a mission. So when people who have given a portion of their lives to protecting the nation speak, it’s an opportunity to listen that shouldn’t be missed. The Springfield Armory is providing a venue for local men and women to share their wartime experiences from WWII, Vietnam, and the Middle East this Saturday.

Gratitude to Those Who Served, Saturday, Nov. 7, 2 p.m. Free. Springfield Armory, 1 Armory Square # 2, Springfield, (413) 734-8551.
