The Thunder From Down Under

Ladies and gentlemen get your singles out for the beefcake coming to Chicopee by way of the Las Vegas performing strippers, The Thunder From Down Under. The “blokes” are toned, tanned, and sassy. First row is in the sweat/splash-zone if you’re into feeling the men’s stage presence. Must be 21 or older for this event. To describe Jeff Tuohy’s music is to run down a grocery list of musical styles: classic rock, red dirt country, hip-hop, R&B, soul. The rocker has shared bills with The Black Crowes, Rusted Root, Natasha Bedingfield, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. He’ll be playing tunes off his most recent release COCOON, which features the single “Bourbon Street.” Known for his rock vocals, Tuohy’s performances get people moving. Check him out Friday at Theodores’ Booze, Blues & BBQ on Worthington Street in Springfield. Show starts at 9:30 p.m.

STP tribute

Scott Weiland, legendary frontman for the Stone Temple Pilots as well as Velvet Revolver, is gone, but his music lives on. Come celebrate this “magnificent bastard” with a tribute show Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton on Center Street. Bands paying tribute to Weiland include Party Wolf, The Brass, Broker, and The Glad Machine. Tickets are $9.93 before, and $13 at the door.

Get your laugh on at The Still Bar & Grill on Suffield Street in Agawam Wednesday night when three comedians perform. Check out funny folks Jody Sloan, Steve Nagle, and Ira Proctor and enjoy a buffet featuring sliced pork, meatballs, and chicken and broccoli alfredo for $20 a head. Buffet is served from 6-7 p.m., the show immediately follows dinner.
