Steampunk, baby!
Get out your goggles and old-timey looking futuristic guns. Hop into your Rube-Goldberg-style blimp and set sail for the Gaslight Faire in Springfield. We’re talking Steampunk, fine fellow — a celebration of fussy-fancy in this casual world. The style takes inspiration from the Victorian Era and imagines what life would have been like if we kept the clothes of the Industrial Era, but ditched the fossil fuels for wind, solar and water power. The faire boasts artisan booths, author and creator talks, cash bar with absinthe, photo booth, tea, and raffles. Dress to impress!
Gaslight Faire, Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free. La Quinta Inn, 100 Congress St., Springfield, gaslampfaire.com.
