In With a Bang

Just in time for MASS MoCA’s welcome shift to summer hours, we’re jazzed to spread news of the return of the museum’s annual Bang on a Can festival, which ushers in three weeks of music all day, every day. Museum-goers and the general public can choose from dozens of special concerts, including recitals in the galleries at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., larger events in the Hunter Center, and free concerts all around North Adams. The fun starts with a concert by composer and musician Ken Thomson on Wednesday, July 13. Later on: shows by Nani Agbeli, Gregg August, Nick Photinos, Bun-Ching Lam, special guest John Luther Adams, and many more. Check online for complete daily listings. Attend events one by one, or consider a MASS MoCA membership, which provides free gallery admission and $5 concert tickets.

Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival: July 13-30. $5-$24. Hunter Center, MASS MoCA, North Adams. (413) 664-4481, massmoca.org/bang.
