The Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA) is celebrating its centennial in the 2019-2020 school year and its community support is still as strong as ever. Membership and Marketing Director Margi Caplan says that SCMA contributes meaningfully to the Smith College curriculum in addition to serving the wider community. “The Smith College Museum of Art cultivates inquiry and reflection by connecting people to art, ideas, and each other,” says Caplan. The collection at SCMA includes 26,000 pieces of artwork and has a frequently changing schedule of lectures and guest visits to family days. Through the end of July, Plastic Entanglements: Ecology, Aesthetics, Materials, is on display.
