Daily Operation is a new restaurant in Easthampton with a fun quirky approach to food. Chef and co-owner Dave Schrier describes it as “Stoner International,” a hilarious explanation of drawing from many global influences such as their Chinese-inspired sesame and citrus chicken salad, Thai-style beef shank and kimchi noodles, and Vietnamese sausage and chicken liver mousse sandwich. They also do modern twists on classic southern desserts like banana cream pie with salted pecans, black bottom maple pie, and rocky road cookies. Though these combinations might seem weird at first, Schrier says they have a wide appeal. He wants Daily Operation to feel like an active community among customers, other chefs, restaurants, and farms. “We want to stay as creative as possible,” Schrier says. “Always growing and getting better at cooking, serving people, and making things more comfortable. We’re just trying to succeed and make people happy.”
