After 15 years apart, Ray and Una meet again. So begins David Harrowers' Olivier Award-winning play, Blackbird, the latest production by the Chester Theatre Company.

Their relationship would have been unremarkable had Una not been 12 and Ray 40 at the time of their affair. Since then, Ray has spent time in prison and taken on a new identity. Then Una appears unannounced at his office and an agonizingly revealing confrontation ensues. As Una searches for answers, the play uncovers the enduring pain, shame and complexity of the aftermath of a pedophilic relationship. Directed by Sheila Siragusa, the production promises to be daring and riveting.
