Looking for an excuse to head to North Adams tonight? Want to treat yourself to a little baseball magic to help celebrate the Yankees getting swept out of the ALCS? Do you just plain miss Red Sox legend Tim Wakefield? Curious about Mets prospect R.A. Dickey? Or the history of the knuckleball pitch? Then head to MASS MoCA’s Hunter Theater tonight at 8 pm for the Williamstown Film Festival screening of Knuckleball!
“In a world that values speed, accuracy, and numerical accountability,” the fim’s blurb notes, “this is a documentary about a remarkable brotherhood who pursue honor and craftsmanship by throwing a ball so slowly and unpredictably that no one wants anything to do with it.”
Plus, the screening features appearances by the film’s co-director Annie Sundberg, and its writer/director Christine Schofar.
Not a bad way to enjoy some October baseball.
