Today is the final day of Springfield Pride Week, which ends with a free LGBT-themed film festival, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Sal’s Bakery, 513 Belmont Ave.
Meanwhile, just a little north in Holyoke, Mayor Alex Morse will hold a Pride flag-raising ceremony this afternoon at 4 p.m. at City Hall. Morse—who’s been active in gay-rights organizing since his days at Holyoke High, where he started the school’s Gay/Straight Alliance—instituted the flag-raising event last year, his first in office. Later this evening, at 9 p.m., there will be a Holyoke Pride Nite Out at Double Six Night Club at 352 High St.
