What happend was we made the park w/ the snowcannon we found & we been working real hard & got lots of people coming by & we were going great guns almost all the way thru xmas and new years, etc but then right at the stroke of midnite this one fellow who was abt to try out for the Olympics hit this icy patch & he fell, broke his leg, etc. Well, ofcourse he had to go to the hospital, have surgery etc etc. In the meantime I & jake realized we might have a problem on our hands what w/ operating a snowboard park & borrowing that rope towe, charging people money to use the snowboard park, borrowing those streetlights so we cld stay open at nite, leaving the park unattended for hours at a time, etc. Ofcourse none of that wld matter if that one fellow had not of fallen.
So ofcourse what we knew we had to do was melt the park before anyone came up here poking around asking questions. So that is what we did yesterday. But ofcourse the only person up here w/ a flamethrower is Georgie Femm & ofcourse he drives a hard bargain & he knew we were in a pickle so he wld not lend us the flamethrower he made us RENT it from him, which cost us almost HALF our profits. Anyway, so that is what we did yesterday. And then b/c we did not have anymore use for the rope towe, lites, warming shack, hot chocolate machine, etc etc, we went to get Big Tinys truck to bring it all back like we always planned to do anyways.
And do you know what Big Tiny did? That is right, he made us PAY for the truck! And do you know what he said? That is right, he said that ever since we had our G8 economy summit he has been "attuned to the proclivities of the market", which is a phrase jake used in our meeting when he said we had to "marshal our collective resources to whether this downturn." I just knew that when jake said that it wld come back to haunt us. Anyway, Big Tiny said his truck was a resource & we cld not borrow it for free. So then we spent almost the other HALF of our profits on that!
It is like I always say. I can not win for losing.
So the upshot of all this is that we no longer have a ski area or a snowboard park or anything else & we lost all our money & it is all b/c that one fellow busted his leg. I shld go down to the hospital & bust his other leg but I am not going to do that b/c it wld break one of my new years revolutions.
