Jake voted 8 times so that is 14 more votes for you know who! Jake got the extra ballots b/c Mrs Mogan the town clerk likes him more than Nut Mogan who is her husband. Nut has spent a lot of time in the pokey & jake says b/c of that "the flames of ardor have flickered & died in there marital bed." He talks that way all the time now. Yesterday he said "The autumnal breezes bring a sea chill to my nape."
I will tell you what: I am going to write to the Romance of the Month Club & say i am jake & i want to cancel my subscription.
