Cpt Slow has tried all kinds of things to keep Oola from getting homesick and lonesome but there comes a time when you have to bring out all the stops, so I and dody and jake and cpt slow and oola piled into cpt slows Subaru and all went on a fieldtrip to Ikea down in CT. I spose I neednt tell you that Cpt Slow is not a fast driver. it took a long time and the way those connecticut drivers tailgate it was not a little bit harrowing. But we made it to Ikea in one piece and were all excited for Oola to touch her Estonian roots, and she sang songs on the way down and cld not wait to see all of the estonian furniture and eat the estonian food in the cafeteria they have there.
However it turns out that Ikea doesnt have much to do w/ estonia after all. I will admit that it was all my idea and that i made a mistake. I take full responsibility for that, and i am sorry that what i promised oola did not exactly pan out the way she exptected. I probly shld have known better but I have always confused swedish meatballs w/ estonian meatballs, so it was an honest mistake and i had the very best intentions.
However, I will not take responsibility for what jake did when we were in the bathroom section, and i do not think it is fair for everyone to get so upset w/ me for him using one of those display toilets they have in the bathroom section. in his defense, they DO look like they shld work.
Neeless to say, considering how fast we had to leave Ikea, it was an awful long ride home.
