We’re doomed!

And that’s cool. Saturday night 13th Floor Music Lounge in Florence is hosting a doom-rock show featuring Palace in Thunderland, Witch Fist, Moon Tooth, Netherlands, and Dead Empires. Doom-rock is heavy, loud, and abrasive, but, if you can get past the gutteral growling of the lead singer, surprisingly vulnerable. The 13th Floor gig isn’t just any doom fest, though. This one was organized by a familiar face behind the camera at local shows, Chris Archambeau, to raise awareness about fibromyalgia, a chronic disease he suffers with that causes muscle pain and fatigue. Info about the disease and work by artists with fybromyalgia will be on hand.
