Ode de Toilette

Careful where you sit when visiting Nina’s Nook this month. In an exhibit opening this week, the gallery presents “an artful approach to the toilet seat,” in which “a ubiquitous household item becomes object d’art,” from the functional to the purely sculptural. Local artists contributing eye-cathing responses to the porcelain muse include Lahri Bond, Edite Cunha, Liz Denny, Christina Gusek, Anne Harding, ixchelailee, Trouble Mandeson, Margorie Morgan, Nina Rossi and Gina Vernava. Opening reception on Friday, 5-7 p.m.
