Well, we’re just about half way through March, which means in a couple of weeks being a woman will once again be out of fashion. But you still have time to celebrate Women’s History Month by checking out the Floyd Gallery’s 17th annual Women in History Month photo constest/exhibit. Ten female photographers are taking part in the exhibition and the themes are nature, photo journalism, travel, and abstract. Submissions are in both color and black and white. The exhibit will be up until March 31 and the gallery presser says “hundreds of dollars in cash and merchant awards are awarded to the judged entries.” If you want to check out the giveaway, the awards ceremony will be on March 25 at 3 p.m. Robert Floyd Photo Gallery and Learning Center, East Street, Southampton.
