What do you get when you throw the sounds of Fela Kuti, Portishead, Steve Reich, Bjork and D'Angelo into a blender with a dozen young musicians and generous heaps of beats and 'tude? None other than Jamaica Plains' Rubblebucket Orchestra. The combo's thirst for musical exploration and genre-defiance may make it difficult to compartmentalize their eclectic sound, but they prove that the almighty groove will find you whether you're ready or not.
