It's not often that one gets to learn from an instructor as skilled (and busy) as guitarist Brooks Williams (pictured). This Saturday, Greenfield's Artspace offers an opportunity to do just that at their Artspace Guitar Day. In collaboration with fellow instructors Tony Astolfi and Gail Wade, Williams leads a day-long session including tips, techniques and approaches to blues, jazz, classical and other styles of guitar music. Learning modules include work on flatpicking, fingerpicking, "chord wizardry" and blues moves, and also incorporate group sessions in duos and trios. All levels of adult and teen players are welcome, but the workshop is best suited for those who already have a grasp of basic fingering and chord structures.

Sept. 27, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., $25, Artspace, 15 Mill St., Greenfield, (413) 772-6811, info@franklyarts.com.
