Forget the five-dollar latte—it's all about Mocha this weekend. Starting Friday with (former Ware River Club frontman) Matt Hebert's Haunt (master angler Hebert is pictured), and special guest Oweihops, the Shelburne Falls venue cranks up the season as the evening winds waft sensual summer scents its way from the nearby Bridge of Flowers. Saturday brings the low-fi lullabies of Amherst's Rusty Belle, with special guests The Accident That Led Me to the World.
Sunday starts early with a 3 p.m. performance by the Academy at Charlemont Bluegrass Band, a 10-member high school ensemble that lays down music from Flatt and Scruggs to They Might Be Giants, then continues at 8 p.m. with Australian siblings The Kin, a popular NYC duo who've been compared to everything from the Cure to Coldplay.
Haunt w/Oweihops: May 16, 7:30 p.m.; Rusty Belle with The Accident That Led Me to the World: May 17, 7:30 p.m.; Academy at Charlemont Bluegrass Band: May 18, 3 p.m.; The Kin: May 18, 8 p.m. Free, Mocha Maya's Coffeehouse and Espresso Bar, 47 Bridge St., Shelburne Falls, (413) 625-MAYA.
