It was a good contest and we had eight tongues on the pole, up from six last year. Jake had pole postion and was the heavy favorite but that is only b/c he is fat.
Anyways, jake won, setting a new record in the process. We are going to call up the folks at the guinnes book to see if he can get in that world record book of theres.

Captain Slow: 1 hr and 52 mins and 58 secs
SIX PLACE
Lumb Decker: 1 hr and 23 mins and 18 secs
SEVEN PLACE
Pete Turkowski Sr.: 1 hr and 11 mins and 38 secs
EIGHT PLACE
Pete Turkowski Jr.: 10 secs
It was a good contest filled with excitement. Little Pete got off to a poor start when he panicked at the start and pulled away from the pole and it does not look like he will be saying or tasting much for the next several weeks.
Then Big Pete and Lumb were neck and neck but Lumb pulled away when Pete got a cramp and called for the hot water. Lumb made a run for cpt slow but his boot slipped on the drool-ice and he went down hard. He will not be saying or tasting much either. The surprise was Oola who is Cpt Slows email fiance from estonia and SHE BEAT HIM! he is a tough ticket but she proved her medal and took 4th place. i think we were all hoping she wld catch big tiny but he is canadian and drives trucks for a living and everyone knows how many things canadian truckdrivers lick. besides if she beat big tiny she wld be gunning for me and there is no way she cld catch me b/c i have licked alot of flagpoles in my day. so it wld really be a lot of effort for nothing and she made the right decision i think by calling for the hot water when she did.
but I have got to hand it to jake once again. like i said i have licked many a pole but not near as many as jake, and that is way he is the champion of champions in flagpole licking.
