It has happened before and i have told her to close that door. she says it blew open b/c i have not fixed the handle like i have said i wld do, and she has a good point there. but nonetheless i think she needs to be either more careful or more watchful b/c it is not easy getting a deer out of your house. it was not a big deer, which is good and i do not blame the deer for coming inside the house b/c there is a lot of snow out there now and it is cold and if i was a deer i wld do probly the same thing. Except that if i was a deer i wld not be a doe, which this deer was and is, and i was thankful for that b/c i and jake we have worked out a way to get does out of the house but a big buck is a whole different note.
The deer it run upstairs and as everyone knows a deer can go upstairs but it cannot get down once it is up there. so i and jake got the flume out and put it up against the bedroom window and i went up stairs and tried not to look the spooked deer in the eye b/c if they dont think you see them they will think they are invisible. That is a general truth w/ animals by the way. and i opened the window and jake bugled like he was a buck gone into rut a couple months too soon and that deer just flung itself out the window and the flume carried it right down the the ground, easy as you please.
i have got to hand it to us: we have got a good system worked out with the does. The bucks is different b/c their antlers can get caught in the window sash. but that was not what happened so it is a mute point. And now i am going to go fix that door.
