The Colorado Iraqis have been on quite a winning streak and that is not only good for baseball it is good for the country and it shows that even tho things are not going so great over there in iraq they cannot be going all that bad if a plucky group of Iraqis can win the Nat’l league pennant! I do not even think a bunch of canadians have ever won the nat’l league pennant, and they have gun laws and a functioning health care system. But do not get me started on those smirking canadians.
Anyway, i think the Colorado Iraqis show that all you need to turn yr fortunes around and start a good winning streak is some pluck. obviously things are not so good over there in iraq but this is one plucky team of baseballers. i do not understand why the president is not making hay of the Colorado Iraqis b/c it just shows that if you teach a fellow to fish that fellow will feed him self for life but if you teach a bunch of fellows how to play baseball they will love america even more than they love fishing. Which i wld have to say is probly a better deal for you than if you live in a desert where there are probly not any fish.
These Colorado Iraqis are one of those expansion teams that has cropped up in the last few years and i do not know much abt them and i usually do not root for the expansion teams, but that is mostly b/c they always come from canada. Probly the main thing i do not know abt the Colorado Iraqis is how they got to america in the first place since as i understand it it is mostly the europeans who are taking in the iraqi refugees even tho it is our war that is displacing hundreds of thousands and maybe a million or two of them. But i will tell you what: i am proud a dozen or so of them are here and playing our national game and i think if iraq has a national game we shld send a squad of fellows over there to play it!
Do not get me wrong of course i still want the red sox to win but i am just glad that we are really having a WORLD series. Go Sox! Go Colorado Iraqis!
