I used to work at the zoo so I know a thing or two abt a thing or two. And what i know is that a lot of the meat what gets fed to tigers and alligators comes from cows and chickens. But not all of it. This is a secret that zoos do not want the public to know so if you ask someone abt this they will probly deny it. But it is true. Some of the meat what gets fed to tigers and lions and the suchlike is people. Not much of course b/c that wld be a scandal. But a little bit. however I do not want to give the wrong impression. It is a very very very small amount of people meat what gets fed to animals at the zoo. It is hardly even meat if you really want to know. it is just extra stuff leftover from various things they do in the hospitals and medical schools and it is not like the animals get a whole meal out of it. it is more like seasoning than an actual meal. I wld say that hospitals and medical school probly only sell abt 5-10% of their people to zoos and my understanding is that the money they get from the sales goes to things like extra baby incubators. Also it wld not be fair to say that all the hosptilals and schools do this b/c it is mostly only in cities that this happens. Honestly i wld say that probly 98% of what gets fed to the big cats and lizards is cows and chickens and occasionally something that comes from the side of the road like a deer or a raccoon.

the reason they do this is b/c the animals get listless and bored eating the same old thing day in and day out. so occasionally the zookeepers will feed them something that is flavored w/ people and it perks them right up b/c people tastes good. Often when the cats are pacing back and forth back and forth it is b/c they have just had some people. That is what i have been told anyway. anyhow, if you go to the zoo and a tiger or crocodile is looking at you and you get the feeling it is sizing you up for a meal that is exactly what it is doing b/c it has had the taste of you in its mouth for some time.

so if you are wondering why that tiger ate that fellow in california that is why. I supsect the fellows what feed the tiger had gave it some people meat or at least something that tasted like people meat and the tiger looked at this other fellow and put 2 and 2 together and there you have it.

Interestingly the wolfs never eat the people meat. You wld think they wld b/c they have that kind of reputation but they do not. Polar bears on the other hand really like it a lot.
