Once an astronaut always an astronaut, that is the thing w/ jake. This is the 2nd time he has climbed up that oak tree to get at a weather ballon what is not actually a weather balloon but just a regular balloon balloon w/ a ribbon at the end and every thing. It is a red balloon I got at Travises b-day party, which jake was even at, so he really shld know better. But jake has his ideas and his ideas are like trains and there is no getting in the way of them any more than you wld get in the way of a train, which you wld not do if you had the choice. Which I do, so I do not.
Anyhow, just like last time he climbed up and now can not get down. We have done all what we can do, including get that big shot QB from the high school football team to come try to throw a foot ball w/ a rope tied to it up to him but just like last time that has proved to be a clever but fruitless endeavor. Travis says we shld just cut the tree down but that is only b/c he is grouchy that Kirby Goodenough ruined his b-day party by bringing tainted dip.
I am going out side right now to put a couple bottles of screech at the bottom of the tree and I bet by morning both jake and the balloon is out of the tree and the bottles are gone.
