It has been real warm & the snow is melting & pretty soon the daffodils & tulips what i dug up from in front of the library last fall will come up. I can not wait. Plus, I seen a bunch of robins today.
But the main thing is the sap is started flowing real good in the maple sugarbush & so i was helping travis w/ his maple syrup operation but then in the afternoon a whole bunch of fighter planes flew overhead. They came in real low just over the tree tops maybe 5 feet above them. What happens then is maple trees get scared & the sap shuts off. It is like when you get scared & wet yr pants but with maples it is just the opposite, so what looked like a real promising day for syrup turned into a bust.
But not only that but them flying over like that is making my beefalo get jumpy & plus, Chub Harrington is orgainizing the spring fling dinner at the grange & she asked Dody if she wld contribute her pumkin soufle. Dody is real excited abt this & she is taking it real serious. She wants to make a real big soufle like as big as can fit in the oven. It is going to take some experimentation but if anyone can do it, dody can. Only it is next to impossible to make a gigantic soufle when you have supersonic fighter jets flying over yr house.
I have left a message at the air force base to tell them to stop but they have not called back yet.
