With lush symbolism and dreamy sepia tone, the photographs by Josephine Sacabo—including “Los Palomas (The Doves),” pictured above—in the exhibition Lux Perpetua seem to capture moments somewhere between sleep and waking. Many are inspired by poems or literature, and focus on women—sorrowful or in repose—and a natural landscape that seems strange and otherworldly. Sacabo’s exhibition includes work from three collections, including the more menacing, blue-tinged “Nocturnes,” in which she explores the intersection of women and the natural world. Work from “A Geometry of Echoes” and “El Mundo Inalcanzable De Susana San Juan” is also on display.
