Long considered a collective eyesore, many of downtown Greenfield’s old buildings are now experiencing an overhaul of artistic proportion. The Brick & Mortar International Video Art Festival showcases video artwork from around the world inside 10 historic buildings that have been undergoing renovation. The exhibit allows the public a sneak-peek at the beauty that’s evident in the buildings. The video art exhibits are set up to complement the buildings’ interiors, with videos not only on monitors but also projected onto brick walls. The festival is curated by Natasha Becker, and all events are free and open to the public. The Greenfield Business Association is pitching a tent on the Greenfield Commons (Court Square) that offers maps, schedules, and further information on the event.
