Rag Tag Team

This year’s wimp-out of a winter is a little extra embarrassing now that Norwegians have come to visit. Performers Geddy Aniksdal and Lars Vik — whose theatre company Grenland Friteater is celebrating its 40th anniversary —  hail from the frozen north, but their warm-hearted solo shows are a good fit for all ages. On Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Aniksdal performs My Life as a Man, which chronicles her Norwegian working-class origins through a range of characters. On Saturday at 2 p.m., Vik performs as Mr. Fumblebody, a slapstick alter ego inspired by the great silent movie comedians Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Jacques Tati. That show is suitable for ages 5 and up.

Grenland Friteater from Norway: April 1 and 2. $15-$20. Double Edge Theatre, 948 Conway Road, Ashfield, (413) 628-0277, doubleedgetheatre.org.
