Located on Main Street in Amherst, Hope & Feathers has been offering framing and printing services for the past seven years. The shop is filled with creative innovations from its workers, who are all experienced artists and framers. “The folks who work at the shop have decades and decades of experience,” says Michelle Raboin, owner of Hope & Feathers. “We’re also all artists and very creative. We offer a unique combination of experience and creativity.” Raboin says she chose western Massachusetts as the home for her business because of the people living in the region. “I think people are just small business-minded around here and they realize that without small businesses the community just isn’t the same,” she says. Hope & Feathers is working on developing a line of in-house, custom-colored, water-based stains. “If they have a color or something they’re trying to match perfectly, then we can mix up colors to match their artwork or their decor in house,” she says.
